hello everyone, i should create a grasshopper algorithm to tessellate a surface of a building (i’m talking about the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku). I created the surface and inserted it into the ‘geometry’ component. once the tessellation is done (either with rectangular panels or other shapes), i should create an algorithm that allows to minimize the number of panels of different shapes. each panel would be different in area and curvature. Could someone give me some points?
hello everyone, I need a favor I’m desperate.
I should create a grasshopper algorithm to tessellate a surface of a building (i’m talking about the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku). I created the surface and inserted it into the ‘geometry’ component in GH. once the tessellation is done (either with exagonal panels or other shapes), i should create an algorithm that allows to minimize the number of panels of different shapes. each panel would be different in area and curvature. or, instead of differentiating based on area and curvature, differentiate them based on different shapes, all of which have a flat surface. In short, I need to create an algorithm that optimizes my facade. Could someone give me some points?
I share rhino and gh files, in the rhino file you can find the building (on the right there is its surface connected to the geometry component of GH).
I am infinitely grateful to anyone who can help me
