Extract parts and materials from Revit component

Is there a way to extract the different elements from a Revit component, like a window for example, and the materials corresponding to each element?

Like if I want to get a window component, and being able to extract the glass with its material as well as the framing with its material? In a way so that I can match geometry with material?

Depends on how the materials are being assigned…

Sorting/Filtering Curtain Panel Geometry by Material

There is, but you might not like it. Here I added a subcategory to the Family for all the parts of the Curtain Panel that need materials. [image] Then in the Project go add the Material to the SubCategory [image] Then expand your Element Geometry component to get the Category & corresponding geometry. [image] [image]
