Is it possible to export 3d geometry with clipping planes? For example, if I have a detail or sectional model which I’m accomplishing in Rhino by using clipping planes - can I export that model so that i can then import it into another modelling software or render engine and it will appear clipped just as I had it in Rhino?

There is no way to to that in Rhino (yet).
Clippingplanes are mere visual tricks, If you would like to export clipped objects you will have to cut them via regular Rhino tools.
