Evaluate surface

Here is a thing I don´t understand:

As you can see, I have two attempts to evaluate a surface:

  • In the first one, the gizmo appears outside the surface, so I have to use a “Surface Closest point” component to get a result.
  • In the second one the gizmo is inside as needed. But i have to rebuilt the curves. This results in an inaccurate surface.

The question is: How can I get the evaluation in an accurate surface without using the “Surface Closest point” component?

Thank you

Your boundary surface is a “Trimmed Surface”. If you use Untrim, It will show you the underlying “Untrimmed Surface” boundary.
It won’t disappear whatever you try to do… Just use Evalute Surface based on that untrimmed boundary.
