Error with OptiCroSec results

Hi,
I want to optimise the cross section of a cantilever beam by selecting a maximum displacement limit. In order to change the initial cross-section of the cross-section list from which to pick the optimised cross section, I used a slider.
I noticed that if I start with a HEB100, HEB120 … until HEB220 it results that the optimised cross section is HEB260. But, if I begin from a HEB240 profile it says that the optimised cross-section is the HEB240, although the displacement is bigger than the limit. Why is that?

Hi, I have the same problem with shells. No matter how high I push the loading, lower the utilization or disp limit, the shell size refuses to change. And if it does change somewhere internal to the model, there is no model output providing me the final size, it shows the initial size only on “Model View” and it outputs only the initial size through “Disassemble Model” > “Elements”

Hi, there might be a slight bug in the SLS calculation when the cross section is too similar to the final cross section. If you increase the SLS iterations then the error is eliminated.

We will check this in the meantime to see what the issue might be.
