Error when installing plugins on Mac Twinmotion

Hi ,

I am trying to install Datasmith Exporter for Rhino on MacOS Rhino 8 for Twinmotion.

My Rhino 8 and Twinmotion is working perfectly.

When I attempt to install plugins using a .macrhi file, I get the error message:
Error installing plugin.
Could not read the installer file.

I have tried different techniques to get the file to open so i can export my models from Rhino to Twinmotion however the file has not worked im not sure what else i could do.

This is also my first time doing a plug in so i am inexperienced on how to get it to work.
Are there any methods to further investigate in this issue?
