Editable Parametric Families from Rhino to revit

Hey, I was drafting Furniture families on Rhino and later on I transferred them to Revit using Rhino.inside. Though the families are editable for the most part. But I wanted to play with it’s length breadth and height also on Revit. Which I know is difficult for such geometries which are made on rhino. But is there any Tips/ Tricks or any type of hybrid workflow where I can make some geometries on rhino and some geometries on Revit to achieve this particular workflow. Or anything else that might help me complete this particular task. That would be of great help. I have also attached the design that I made on revit.

As far as I know - the conditions in parametric families are not transferable.

You define them as formulas in Revit families through linking dimensions to reference planes.

I am not sure if you can transfer those conditions from Rhino to Revit.

The family building process is fairly easy in Revit and should not pose any problems, especially that you have prepared the geometry in Rhino.

Hey, thanks for the reply. But my main concern is whether I can play with its length, Breadth and Height on the I imported from rhino in the dimensions column in revit. As shown in the image

Hi Naman,

You’ll need to lock your geometry to a Reference plane and add a Label (Dimension) that you can then control via grasshopper.

Associating Geometry is pretty easy via the UI, not so much programmatically. We will have support for associating parameters at some point.
