Something seems wrong with EdgeContinuity: Look at the speed difference compared to my edge continuity tool:
Hi Gijs - I cannot reproduce this lag here so far…
-Pascal
hmm strange… I am getting some weird things. I updated my graphics card driver yesterday but it had no effect.
Hi Gijs - do you have a conduit running from your tool by chance? Is it slow if you start a new session of Rhino and only run the Rhino EdgeContinuity stuff?
-Pascal
I thought about that as well, but no, it happens on a fresh instance as well. It might be something with my graphics card. Still odd that my own display conduit is butter smooth. I’ll try some more and see if older drivers are better. Because currently my display in Rhino 8 is messed up as well.
I’m using an M4000 quadro:

Hi Gijs - can you send me the object in your video clip? I just made a thing quickly that has a bunch of internal edges but maybe it is more specific than that.
@Gijs - just as a baseline, with your surfaces, and half a dozen edge pairs selected, a single 4k monitor with Rhino maximized and the viewport maximized, testMaxSpeed
is 4.19 seconds (wireframe)
If I join the surfaces into a single brep and select half a dozen edge pairs, it is slower - 6.11 seconds. (somehow I did not expect that)
-Pascal
Hi @Gijs what’s your plan with your tool? will you sell/share it? I wish I could take a look at it…
Hi Joaquin, I will make it more publicly available at some point through the package manager, still need to make it more reliable and stable first.
Color me very interested as well! Looks like it has the Ux improvements I’ve been requesting since before the official tool was even released and that McNeel still hasn’t delivered on…
