Dwg import issues (missing faces/ bad surfaces)

There is a 5 years of topic which hasn’t solved. I am feeling to create new one.

I have run into the same problem in rhino7 and I upgraded to v8, still nothing changed.

I have a file and attached, please fix the issue. When I have had autocad license, I was opening dwg in autocad, exporting as .iges and importing in Rhino. However .iges file has seperated many surfaces that has to be merged very carrefully after all.

Here are screenshots when importing .dwg files in Rhino.

I hit yes. (hitting No won’t change anything, I have tried)

Since I don’t have Autocad license, I have only Rhino, please fix the issue

Hi @m.oguz,

Can you share the .dwg file?

Thanks,

bad faces.dwg (236.1 KB)

Hi @dale , sorry I uploaded

I think that file is created in a parametric cad software and than exported as .dwg.

Maybe it is created in Autocad so it is a .dwg file.

Is that matter, I can ask to vendor if you like?

Hi @m.oguz,

This should just work - I’ve logged the issue so a developer can investigate.
