Duplicate elements from project 1 to project 2 fail

Hi all,
I try to duplicate a curtain wall family from Revit (empty) file 1 to Revit (empty) file 2. If I do it between 2 new create Revit file, it works perfectly well. But when I do the same thing on my own project Revit file to a empty Revit file, or from an empty Revit file to my project Revit file, it turns red, and it doesn’t work…
I am quite sure what the output of Red Duplicate Element means…

That should work just fine, you are copying the Element, not the Element Type correct?

Are there custom panels types as well? It would be good to have more information about the Elements you are transferring.
