@samsuserrrr What do you mean by “a circle on the surface of a cylinder”? Do you mean a circle which is wrapped around the cylinder?

Since you say you are using Grasshopper I’m moving this topic to the Grasshopper sub-forum.

In Rhino I would UnrollSrf the surface of the cylinder, draw a circle on the unrolled surface, and the FlowAlongSrf the circle onto the cylinder.
