Drape Tool - Drawing Box Help

Hi all,

I begun using rhino (Mac) last week and I’m getting on well. I’m starting to use the drape tool, modelling/presenting vacuum formed material over forms. I want to use the drape tool more accurately. Is there anyway of drawing this ‘drape window’ , snapping it to a pre drawn plane or using the grid snap tool? I’ve tried it with grid snap on but have had no luck.

Also, if anyone has any interesting tutorials or examples of the drape tool, I am very interested.

Hello - no - not that I know of - it is all screen/pixel based, so you’ll want to have as large a viewport as possible but as far as I recall, the the best you can do is eyeball the snaps to reference geometry.
