Download a plugin from food4rhino?

Has there been a change to food4rhino? The buttons that used to say “download” now say “install”. When I press an Install button it wants to open the file in Rhino 7 straight away. But I am trying to download a plugin for Rhino 6.

How can I just download the file like we used to be able to?

I am particularly needing to download the latest version of the Shapediver plugin, which is ONLY available at food4rhino and not on their website.

Who came up with this “feature” but didn’t leave in a way to just download the file!?

I have tried in different browsers, but they all try to open the file in Rhino 7 rather than letting me download the file.

As in my previous post, the whole plugin ecosystem of Rhino is so bizarre and riddled with odd UX and marketing decisions.

It looks like it’s a ShapeDiver thing… everybody else still has Download buttons.

[I also can’t install it as I only have the WIP installed]

Perhaps best to contact the developer/s

Oh yeah, that is true. I also clicked on a few others and noticed that Adaptive Parts also has “Install” instead of “Download”.

Maybe it’s also about whether or not they are Rhino plugins or Grasshopper plugins.

I could get the Shapediver plugin via the package manager in Rhino 6 now.

Anyways, food4rhino is just a gigantic mess, basically like all web related things at McNeel. I will never understand why everything is so splintered, except of course that I assume they don’t really have a dedicated Web team, let alone anyone in charge of UX over there.
