Anybody else experiencing that the settings for technical for technical displaymode jump back to the previous setting after a while?
This happened to me three times during one session.
The first issue is simply that, but there’s a second embedded in the process.
In this case:
I had background set to transparent and changed it to Solid color.
I also had Clipping Plane Settings set to “Use section styles”, but it didn’t (issue 2). If I turn it off, exit the menu, come back and turn it on, also doesn’t work. I need to turn if off, select show fills, and select use section styles again.
After a variable amount of time - sometimes immediately, sometimes after several minutes - with no apparent prompt, it reverts back to the transparent background and forgetting the Section styles.
Even after saving the file it reverts.
Any ideas?

I regularly run into this as well but haven’t been able to reliably reproduce the behavior. I’ve put it on the list so that the developer can take a closer look.
Thanks!

Thank you @wim
It is good to know that we are not alone
What about the second issue?
“Use section styles” in on in Clipping plane settings, but it doesn’t appear until turning it off, select “Show fills”, and then select “Use sections styles” again.
Looking into this a little… It appears that setting the background color from within the Display Mode settings dialog causes some kind of revert process.
Start Rhino
Draw a cube (not necessary, but helps to visualize)
Set the perspective view to Shaded
Go into Display Mode Settings and select Shaded
Set the Background setting to Solid Color (note: Do NOT set the color yet).
Save/Exit the Display Mode Settings by clicking the OK button.
Go back into the Display Mode Settings for Shaded mode again
Now change the Background Color to some other color and click the OK button on the color dialog
You’ll notice the Shaded viewport update to the new color.
Now close the Display Mode Settings dialog using the OK button
The Shaded viewport will now revert back to some previous set of values.
Note: This will impact any/all other settings changes that were made prior to step 8, not just the background color.
Note2: Not setting the background color from within the Display Mode Settings seems to allow things to stick. And setting the background color from the Display Panel seems to work and does not cause this revert to occur.
Note3: This appears to happen with all display mode types.
