I am currently working on a project that requires objects in the same detail but with different display modes. On this example, I have a blue box and a red box. I have set the display mode for the red box as wireframe, and the blue box as “by view” which is set in technical mode . When I set the display modes, it displays fine (see picture “before closing”). However, after saving the file and opening it again, the red box which is in wireframe mode disappears from the detail, but the 3D model is still in the model space (see “after closing” and “after closing-1”.) I have tried this on a different PC but the problem persists.

The workaround I’ve discovered is that after opening the file, I select the red box, set the display mode to “by view” then set it back to “wireframe”. Now the red box can be seen. Although this might be simple to do, I’m currently working on models with several hundred parts, and may require differing display modes.

I would like to ask if anyone has encountered this before, and what actions have been done to address this issue. Thanks very much.

It’s not just in the layout, see my post here: BUG - Wireframe in Technical Display Mode

Hi Rigney -

Hello Alessio and Wim,

That’s quite unfortunate. This Rhino feature seems very promising. I hope this issue gets addressed soon. Thanks very much.
