Diamond Pattern

I’m trying to create a diamond pattern for
an ice cream cone. The pattern willbe used for laser cutting.
After the cone is machined the laser cut pattern
will be wrapped around the cone. The seams must
have a matching diamond pattern. Can this be done
by UnrolSrf then laying down the pattern?
Can this be done with panel tools?

Close but where the seams meet it is a square pattern.

Right… that is a process that may work, the pattern is up to you…

alternative method, use a spiral with a radius of 0 on one side and the radius of the cone width on the other side. now the amount of turns will be your angle. then polar array it 6 times and mirror the result.
