Im trying to get the pattern in this car shape mapping it to surface Why is not uniform? thanks guys

Your surface is not internalized.
sorry here you have.

what joseph is trying to say is that the surface is quite curvaceous and does not easily take a flat pattern. see this article for what you’re trying to do and why it’s not so straightforward to create a regularized pattern on such complicated surfaces like car panels.
the TLDR is that you will likely need to individually adjust each diamond on the surface to create the illusion of regularly-spaced diamonds. Not impossible but you’ll need to get creative with projecting / wrapping individual diamonds onto the surface, maybe introducing scaling along the approximate isocurves to disguise the distortions of the diamonds along the isocurves
I dont undestand why map to surface doesnt works to be honest lol is time for relative item thanks
There are games to be played with CrvSrf (Curve On Surface).
But it quickly gets complicated:
Then you don’t understand the answer @BTH just gave you.
well I’m mean to the methodology to make map to surface works.
I’ll have to do it with realtive item.
there might be a way with kangaroo to relax a pattern on the mesh if it’s not possible to 3d the part or mill it to apply the lines physically
I think can find another simplest way.
I hope you will share it? Nothing about this looks simple to me - so far.
You could try shapemap: https://www.food4rhino.com/en/app/shapemap
Not saying it’s impossible by any means, but I tried many things.
Trimmed it all back to this, which is far from perfect:

I added the ExtSrf (Extend Surface) cluster I wrote yesterday and it looks pretty good

P.S. Instead of splitting the surface you can just pull the curves to it. Might be better with more than two points defining each curve? But the idea has limits.
I need full lines for pipe, I know I can just orient in front view array the lines and proyect them but I was traying to avoid orient the object surface in front or top to project.
I have a little approach tomorrow Ill keep trying.
this could works thank you
This version uses more points (blue group ‘Steps’ +1) to create the curves on surface.
