Desktop P.C. for Rhinoceros

Hi. I’d like to ask you about your Experience with Rhinoceros on different P.C. H/W.

In general, what Processor (and Motherboard) would you recommend as “ideal” to run Rhinoceros…? We are looking forward to acquire a dedicated Windows 11 Desktop P.C. for it.

Also important, what Video Card (Brand & Model) would you recommend, from your Experiences?

My short answer is Intel + nVidia + enough ram, depending on budget and workload.

So what do you need, where do you see the system you have lacking and what is your budget?

CPU

  • Intel - 265K
  • AMD - 9700X

GPU

  • MIN: Nvidia RTX 5060 8 GB
  • PREFER: Nvidia RTX 5070 12 GB

RAM

  • 32 GB DDR5 (good luck!)

This would be my baseline for modelling + rendering. If you don’t care about rendering, then the RTX 5060 will likely be adequate as a minimum.

Thank you for your responses, they have been very helpful. Our current system is old, so we absolutely need a new Desktop P.C.. We have a budget of USD 3000 and are considering several options.
