Decal Black alpha channel showing on edges

Hi,
I thought I’d try useing decals in Rhino to save a trip over to 3DCoat.
All works as advertised, however I am finding that the edges of anti aliased transparent decals have a border where the underlying black alpha channel is showing through. Note that my decals are PNGs on a transparent background - Rhino is adding the black alpha channel.

This only happens in the rendered viewport - raytraced cycles does not do this.
