Dead loop with no escape while editing the block

My bad I was trying to edit the linked block, your bad that there is no escape from this situation except hard crash.

You may want to try running the _Unlock command

It won’t help. It is stuck at the command

but I found the escape through the Win toolbar panel. Not sure if this qualifies a ‘solution’

Hi Piotr -

What happened when you closed that other instance?
-wim

There was no other instance per se. It had been exploded before. I needed to load it again as a shape reference.

I’m not asking about a block instance. When you block edit a linked block, a new Rhino instance will open. As far as I know, you can’t explode a Rhino instance?

I guess I need steps to reproduce the reported issue.

I was able to reproduce it.

I have inserted linked block via Insert command, then I got this message.

\

After clicking OK, I got his

I exit the second instance of Rhino,. That message was visible for couple of seconds the was gone.

I guess, it was my fault not being patient enough, or maybe this time everything is working fine.

PS I have never used linked blocks, that behaviour (opening second instance of Rhino) was new to me, and i probably skipped first message.
