Dark backfaces in WIP

I’m not sure when this behavior started, but I’m seeing it in the latest WIP (5E78w). The backfaces of all my shaded objects are darker than the front faces. This happens in regular shaded modes, and also when the display color is set to use the rendering color. Is this expected behavior? If so, is there a way to toggle it back to the old behavior?

When using the latest non-WIP (5.3.2) with the same display modes, front faces and backfaces are displayed the same, which is what I expect.

Same here. Sometimes the backfaces even turn transparent: https://www.screencast.com/t/ofDs8cIf2iIz

yep… probably all related :

This issue should be fixed in the latest RhinoWIP (5E92w). Please give it a try.

i think this is fixed … at least upon a couple of checks on files where i know i was having either transparent surfaces or overly shadowed(?) surfaces, all seems to be working good now.
