Is it possible to use a custom 3D tree or a V-Ray proxy here?
Ore would it be added in “Display”?

The workaround is as follows:
From the Lands Design edit panel, select the species, choose Edit Species, disable the Realistic 3D Model, then select the Detailed Model and replace it with any model you have. See the image.
In general, we recommend modifying an existing model from the program using the free Plant Editor add-on available within Lands Design.
