Hi there,
I’m not quite use to Cageedit cmd but try to figure out how it works.
I have this trapezoidal “bounding”“box”" shape, and want to be able to modify the object inside via the control points of this trapezoidal shape. A sord of geometry morph would be helpfull.
Any suggestion on how to do it?
Something started here, but slightly different : Box Morph in Rhino 8 or script?
Thanks
CC
Unfortunately, I don’t believe there’s a way to start a cage edit use a non-orthogonal cage, but it would be great if you could.
I have two easy ways to accomplish this, but instead of transforming the entire structure, I would adjust the control points of the lines and circles.
Start by setting a Cplane to the top circle, turning on control points, and selecting the control points of the top half of the structure.
Then, you can use cage edit (cplane, bounding box, degree 1x1) to adjust the control points the way you’d like. Repeat for the bottom half.
Or (easier): use the gumball (cplane mode), and scale or rotate the control points of the top and bottom halves.
