Curve Length Dimension

instead of a leader with the curve length dimension in a text box.
is their a way to have something similar to the dimangle command just with a curve length dimension instead of an angle dimension. and the arch length symbol above the text would be nice also.

Use the Text command.
After picking a start point when you get the dialog for entering the text, select the Text Field button “fx”, choose CurveLength, click the Select Object button, pick your curve and OK.
The text will be the curve length and associated to the curve.
If you Point edit the curve, the text will change.

thanks for that method i never tried it that way. Is their a way to still have the extension lines and dimension arrows as shown? I like the way the dimangle command looks, but it would be nice to have the curve length instead of the angle dimension.

Switching from acad…. Need dimension help

Hello. I’m trying to transition from acad to Rhino. We manufacture curved glass, obviously drawing 2d and 3d curves is a very important. I can’t for the life of me determine how to dimension an arc length. There is a curve length dimension command which shows the arc length but it’s showing it off to the side, I would like to see the arc length dimension follow the arc length. I’m sure it’s a simple procedure but I’ve spent a lot of time searching for a solution I would like to see dimension…
