After using extend top on a number of visarq walls and curtain walls I ran into 2 issues:

I was no longer able to click select objects. I could window select but not click select. I double checked that the objects were not on a locked layer and also that I didn’t have selection filters enabled.

My hidden view setting no longer displayed correctly. It still showed wireframe while in hidden line view. Changing and reapplying the view setting did not fix it. The issue was present in both a layout detail view and in model space.
I narrowed the culprit down to a visarq curtain wall that I had used extend top on. In the image below, you can see the green curved surface which is being used as the boundary for the top of the curtain wall. As soon as I deleted that surface, I no longer had the selection issue. The views didn’t show correctly until I selected “set floor plan”
I isolated the problematic geometry into a file which can be downloaded here.
