Is the problem in one file or all files?
How about a new file?
Yes all of my existing file, new files actually work fine ive noticed.
What could be the issue?
Have you rebooted your Mac?
Yes i have tried rebooting and also deleting rhino 8 and redownloading
Reset your PLIST
https://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/mac/resetprefs
Deleting and installing again is almost always a waste of time for Disk Image applications like Rhino.
I just did this but had no luck. Also when I opened another file the problem continues…
I think the problem is when using rhino 8 with an external display
If this is the V8 WIP, it should be in the Serengeti category.
Since it is in the Rhino category, I assumed this was V7.
Does the problem go away without the extra monitor?
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command, copy the results into a txt file, and send that back in a reply.
Thanks

Ah apologies, this is the file
the opposite, the external monitor makes the problem happen.
So the first SystemInfo was with or without the 2nd monitor?
Please send the other one too.
It looks like maybe the first SystemInfo was with 2 monitors?

Ah will second the second one later as I am not at work now so cannot send it
The point is we will probably need to have enough specific detail to repeat the problem here so we can find and fix it.
When you connected or disconnected the 2nd monitor, did you restart the Silicon Mac?
yes it has been shut down since
Are the monitors identical?
Are they both running the same DPI?
potentially I am not sure, I think the high dpi on the file i sent could just be the retina display?
From one of the developers:
“All I can think of atm is that this is probably a DPI issue…where one monitor is configured at a different DPI and Rhino is getting confused.”
I see ok! thank you, next time I will adjust the resolution and see if this fixes the problem. Thank you very much for your help
