Critical graphics bug in Rhino 7: Inability to see blend curves

There is a critical graphics bug in both Rhino 7 and Rhino 8, which makes it impossible to do NURBS surfacing in certain display models. This is unacceptable, because it’s related to inability to see blend curves during their creation and adjustment of the handles. The user is literally left forced to switch to some other display mode that does not use shading.
The bug is caused by the Ground plane. You can test how it behaves differently with the following display modes and the attached file while building a blend curve between curve ends 1 and 2.

Thanks, I’ll check this.
I see this, thanks. It seems to be the Shadows setting - Off works, On does not.

The horror, the horror!

I noticed that the report mentions “Affected versions 8.x, 8.3, 8.4”. Rhino 7 is also affected by this critical bug which makes the majority of display modes with shadows unusable while using blend curves. :upside_down_face:

If you check the difference between the display modes I uploaded above, you will notice that the preview of the blend curve in Bobi X13 looks quite strange, as if the invincible curve tries to split the shadows. It’s especially noticeable in my video.

The video also shows some strange behaviour of the shadows that look weird up close.
