Creating Surface from a network of curves

Hi all,

I am trying to create a surface/solid in Rhino from CT scan images. These images are taken at specific offsets (I cannot change them) thus, divides an object into a number of network curves.

For instance, imagine a tooth which is sliced into a number of horizontal sections, and few sections in perpendicular direction.

What is the best way to recreate it? Loft would almost work, but the very end of the tooth is missing. Surface from network curves doesn’t work, because surface not necessarily have an edge. Sweep using 2 rails cannot be used due to the irregular shape.

Below is an image of a sphere I was trying variuos methods on:

Thank you for your help,

Aidas

It might be helpful if you post a file for people to play with. I understand where you’re coming from but do you have any visual evidence of the tooth other than the sections?

Unless you’re going to be able to pull/push control points and approximate the shape to some kind of named view you’re shooting in the dark.

As an example, capping the tooth using the two sections may look OK but does it represent what was there originally, how do you know?
