Creating a custom material library in Mac Rhino

Is there a tutorial on how to create a custom material library in Rhino Mac? Have been able to modify a metal to what I want but cannot figure out how to make it available to all new files.

Been searching the forums and not found anything. I have lost the use of my materials plugins in the move from Rhino Windows to Mac.

regards,
Sochin

Hi Sochin - in the Materials panel, select the material, right click, and choose Save to file.

Import that rmtl file and any others you would like, into aother file from the same menu

  • save that file Rhino file as a template and use it to start new models.

You can also save that rmtl file to a folder, add the folder to the Libraries panel and get to it from there in any file.

Images are Windows but mac is about the same.

Thanks @pascal as always  I am hoping your scripts work on the Mac …especially Distribute.

cheers,
Sochin

Hi Sochin - Distribute is a native command in Rhino 7.
