Creating a Continuous Surface and Canopy

I have a script for a canopy design, which I baked. But I am wondering, how will I begin to blend/merge the canopy design with the surface of a building like in the image. The idea is that I will be able to add multiple buildings, in which the surfaces all connect to the canopy like one structure. I don’t have a script started, I don’t know where to begin. I tried blending the surface but that doesn’t give me the results I’m looking for.

Is there a simple solution to a problem like that? Is it curve based, so creating one whole curve and patching or something? Or would it be easier to make a mesh and manually edit it in rhino?

You could start with an untrimmed (red) surface, then trim the region (blue) you want to keep:

lets be honest here. You make your life way too hard. In my opinion there is no benefit in modelling this shape with Grasshopper. For such tasks, unless this tool is not capable in doing proper surface modelling, you should always prefer a manual modelling approach in Rhino or at least a hybrid solution.

My estimation, with intermediate modelling experience, you should be able to model everything in less than 1 h. Its often helpful to do this once. Once you have that, you can think about automating it. But before you do that, you should also simplify the shape. There is absolutely no point in having so many control points. With less vertices, you can modify the shape easier and better.

And one more thing, you can of course use a single surface like _corellaman is showing, but its very hard to control the curvature. I would always prefer using few, but multiple surfaces. It just looks so much nicer if you know how to create proper models. Therefore, if you are lacking modelling skills, then I would advise you spend your time following Rhino modelling tutorials, rather than wasting your time with Grasshopper in this regard
