Copy/paste slow on Rhino WIP

In Rhino 6 it takes around a second to paste a circle from
the clipboard, in Rhino WIP it takes 6-7 seconds,

This is being worked on for V7. It looks like it has to do with the display actually.

Copy + Paste taking a long time

I’ve seen some older threads regarding this issue but none that are recent, when I copy and paste in Rhino6 it takes quite a while even with very basic geometry. I have launched Rhino in safe mode, and it is completely fine and speedy, I have also tried disabling extra plugins and it seems to help but only very slightly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

so if optional I’m alt-tapping while
dragging instead, since this still works without lagging

Use the Copy command in Rhino instead of Copy to clipboard/Paste.
