Compute as a Service

Hey guys, does anyone know if it’s possible to have Rhino.Compute servers as a service (as close to minimal as possible)?

Of course there’s companies that use it, wrap it etc. - ShapeDiver, Hypar (I guess) etc.? Yet I don’t think I’ve seen anyone offer a relatively bare-metal implementation that they pass on to the end user?

Maybe @piac or @fraguada have heard of something? Would be curious to hear back if you do. Thanks!

I haven’t heard of anything but it sounds like an interesting commercial case.

@fraguada I’d like to +1 this idea as well

We (as in McNeel) aren’t planning on providing compute as a service. If someone wants to take this on, we would love to help them out.

Hi Steve,

Do you mind sending a mail to rhu@xbuild.com, where we could set up a quick call?

Thanks Luis. Would be really great to have your feedback on a few bulletpoint questions that we have if you’ve got time?

Feel free to send me an email or dm through here and we can set something up with the appropriate devs.

@ryanhughes would be interesting to know how minimal you would want that to be. Could you share your thoughts here, or would you be available for a call?

Hey Alexander,

I’m up for a call - would be great to chat. My work mail is rhu@xbuild.com - calendar is linked here.

Love the idea @ryanhughes! :fire:
