I realize glass with clear is difficult to achieve with Rhino Render, but
for plastic with color, can the saturation level be matched?
As Raytraced does take time for sampling, I often use Rhino Render for quick set-up and sometimes just to get a screencapture out.
But, when the color differs this much…
Is there anyway to match closer with same material settings?
Currently Rendered mode does transparency completely different from Raytraced (and Rhino Render). @jeff has been improving this a lot, I suppose that will go into Rhino 7 in the very least - it will look much better and closer to Raytraced (actually, very cool).
I don’t know if the work he has been doing on refraction/transparency will go in 6.x though.
Hi @nathanletwory,
The raytraced plastic coloring seems quite on the dark side, not so linked to the color selection chart.
Is this as specified?
Was trying to make a very ligtly colored transparent material, but the raytraced sample preview is quite dark compared to the color selection.
Adding to the problem I’m having:
(Left has transparent shell. Right is just deleting the transparent shell.)
Plastic is lightly colored, inside material is white but, as you can see
the inside is really dark.
Is there anything that I’m setting wrong?
