Changing from fillet to rounded edge

Hello, you can see that on this part I have put a small edge fillet around the outside top of the part. Now I have discovered that that whole edge needs to be rounded. I’m trying to figure out how to edit that fillet out, and put a line along the center of the edge clear around the top of the part that I can pipe around. Everything I try ends up in a big mess.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

thanks, rex

Hi Rex - in Rhino it is not a bad idea to do all the ‘finish’ filleting on a copy of your part so that you can go back to the un-filleted version. In this case, I’d say it will take a bit of work… If you’re lucky you can

  1. Explode
  2. Delete the unwanted fillet surfaces
  3. UntrimBorder all the remaining surfaces
  4. CreateSolid from these.

Otherwise, individually untrim and re-intersect and trim the faces that are up along the filleted edge. Feel free to post the file, someone may be able to take a swing at it. It’s pouring rain here.

Thanks Pascal. I was trying similar things but wasn’t sure I was getting anywhere. Will try again. Stay dry.
