Hello, I have some custom steel nodes that I want to model as beams in Revit to connect them to other steel components. All nodes are cylinders with different diameters and different heights.
For the family I used the round steel beam. When I want to change the type parameter diameter, I get the message “1. Cannot to set value ‘0.113137’ to parameter ‘Diameter’. This value would be 11.3 cm in Revit. {2742086}”
Why can’t I change the parameter? Is there another way to model the nodes and still create connections to other steel components?
To model all nodes with it, I was planning to simply copy the family n times and then change the type parameter for each family.
