Chamfer planar curves

Let’s say we have any set of planar curves. Anybody knows and easy way to chamfer them?

Starling > Truncate (if interested to do it as normalized lengths, like a mesh)

Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a “chamfer distance” component, just as there is a “fillet distance” component?
