How to cut a chamfer in a solid

I’d snap a line onto your cube defining the chamfer and use wirecut, setting the cut direction with the command line option. Another really easy way would be to use chamfer with the size of one side and move the edge manually. Sub object selection makes this a breeze in V5. [image]

Hi. It would be very useful if the solid edge chamfer command would allow two dimensions for the chamfer just as the curve chamfer does.

ChamferSrf fails for .1 and 0.05 distances why?

Hi V5 I read that ChamferEdge for anything other than default 45deg is not even going to be in V7. ChamferSrf is the workaround. I enter .1 and 0.05 inch and it fails. What did I do wrong ? attached. chamferSrf .1 and 0.05 fails.3dm (42.1 KB) I hope its in V8 ! is it that difficult to code ? Steve
