I am trying to use it in VS code (not claude desktop). I am currently in HK region where claude is not permitted.
Most of all of colleagues here tried installing the mcp package in rhino.. and they had “mcpconnect” in rhino tool bar immediately. And they could easily operate it via VS code with the right config.
Hello, I am running into the same issue and i have completed the steps/downloads you have shared in the screen clips, but i am still getting the same message “unknown command: Mcpconnect”
Did you install the connector?
Also check in the extension if you can see Rhino MCP.
I am using OpenAI Codex, after installing codex, loging into my openai account, and installing the mcp package, I also do not have this command “Mcpconnect”

found the issue for me, rhino was running on .NET Framework. I changed to NETCore and it works now!
