Since there isn’t a thread on this maybe the Corona guys think Rhino users dont want it.
Please show some love for Corona here!!
… they even developed a version for Archicad by now.
I’m curious, what are the advantages of Corona?
We’ll gladly assist the devs of Corona with the creation of a plug-in.
i briefly tried it out in 3ds and found it fast, great quality, as straight forward as possible, and reasonably prized. Friend who work at professional archviz firms either are using corona or want to use it…
im not a pro in this. maybe someone who can give a more in depth answer…
brilliant!! hopefully their mother company chaosgroup/vray lets them jump in.
Have you contacted them? It’s unlikely that they are reading your posts here…
yeah. but first step would be to collect a few more voices i guess. thought one can start here.
@matus_nedecky, do you have any info? You’re surely drinking buddies with devs, and if not, you should become ones.
Jonas
I guess in the end it’s all about the results:
Corona was recently bought by Chaos Group, who knows what it means exactly for possibly expansion into Rhino 3D.
Cheers
Jonas
+1 also interested in Corona for Rhino
adding my voice to this, i would like corona for rhino for mac
CORONA and their scatter native add-on please.
I hope you have contacted Chaos Group with this request, because, again, it’s unlikely that they are reading this thread…

Team work is everything and Chaos should be Happy we want something from them).
Thank you in Advance and keep me in touch please.
Rhino Jewelry User.
Actually after rendering solely on my graphic card for half a year, I wouldn’t go back to CPU rendering anymore. Not even for Corona.
Thanks for posting, this is definitely relevant article to read although I suspect it to be a few years old. Back then my own GPU rendering experience on V-Ray 3.6 was much worse than today. Especially due to lacking documentation about unsupported features. That’s much better now.
In my case, GPU rendering really is approx. 10x faster. This is rendering products without environment with mostly glass and metal objects. I can imagine that if I would fail to render fast enough on my RTX 2070, I would send it to Vray Cloud.
Cheers
Jonas
Same here. I use V-Ray GPU rendering and I’m quite happy. A complex interior at 4000x3000 is done in ~10…15min (2x2080ti). The V-Ray plugin is quite matured and maybe it’s better for the Chaosgroup to stay focused to one render plugin. I’m not sure a second render plugin would bring much advantages.
