That’s a strong sentence… and also a quick way to lose a serious participation by other users.
If you are not good with traditional 3d software, I’d suggest you using Play-Doh or clay + a 3d scanner.
Or some VR scuplting tool.
I’m serious. I’ve seen incredible results.
aaaah, reading all of this was great fun.
one annoying kid that thinks that 10 years ago was 2000, bloating himself up with excessively dumb comments and premature conclusions vs 3d legends wasting their time still trying to help the kid.
You look at the command line, there’s a FLIP option there.
I think you just don’t know how to work on Rhino.
No, it is you who don’t know how to pay attention.
Look at the misaalignment where I clicked vs where the plane’s bottom edge was made - i.e it is always placed 1 sub-grid unit lower, appearing misplaced in perspective view, and thus confusing the user.

Truth hearts, and causes reactions. We live in the era of trashware, that’s a fact, you can find decent small utilities, but all complex software is trashware, I see it everyday, because I have to deal with very different software. For decades. Last night Windows 10 asked me whether I want to initialize my external backup drive because there is no partition on it. I tried it in a Windows 7 OS and was working perfectly fine. Trashware is even getting worse.

Actually it’s the other way around: If the devs (of any brand) cannot make a human-friendly software that is efficient beyond 5%, they should abandon programming and do something else (become plumbers, taxi drivesrs, picha delivery guys, etc ) and leave it to those who can. That would save hundreds of millions from making their lives miserable.

I suggest you ware your glasses next time before reading what a “kid” wrote.
There is one simple solution to that… actually two.
- Don’t use it.
- Write better stuff yourself.
If you can do neither 1 nor 2, then welcome to the real world.
- Don’t use it.
I try to avoid it, hence the 2+ weeks of research. And finally found a way of doing things that works doing some “acrobatics”. But the cost is too high (weeks) and you can’t always find what you want.
Write better stuff yourself
- I already write my own software - (albeit not of this kind yet), efficient, user-friendly, and bugs-free.
Go for it. When you come up with something that works better than Rhino, let us know…
I am just a spectator. Personally I don’t listen to what people talk. I watch what they do:
@Rhino_Bulgaria does real life cars and generously shares his amazing work.
@JimCarruthers (I think) has been in 3d software dev many many years and definitively helps out many people here with great depth of knowledge.
@Helvetosaur is with us since the first rhino, his experience is not negotiable.
@maje90 is a very kind and helpful master of c#
@Demos is just a troll. Ah, I forgot, two weeks of watching youtube videos of other people’s workflow…
You are the kind of person that call himself a creator when typing a text into an AI
I’m just going to tap the sign here:

Ben the superficial. Misreads what other people write, and believes the things he imagines about them.
@Ben
@JimCarruthers
For you, it’s trolling. For me it’s honest, and valueable feedback for those few who can take negative criticism and use it to make better software. Of course religious followers and trash developers will be offended, that’s understandable.
for valuable feedback one should at least know what ‘parametric’ means and have a more constructive attitude.
@Ben
I know perfectly well what parametric means. I can even make apps of that kind.
@Ben
Apparently when you visit a doctor you argue with him using Wiki articles LOL
guys will you stop hacking into each other?
its now become a pure ego shooter here. and analysing the entire topic not trying to jump to conclusions, its based on the usual misunderstandings. everybody has ideas and experience, base fact.
since i read that you will be using blender eventually, is that for a game or where is it going to go to? involving physics sounds a lot like it.
i agree on that… though it has gotten a lot of new tools but that seemed to have impacted the general quality. i just love rhino so much that i am doing most of general stuff there that i would not want to miss it… though it is a painful experience either.
Well, in this case, you are in a doctors forum and every single doctor here is telling you that your definition of parametric is wrong.
My retopology has finished, I return to work and you return researching workflows and keeping devs updated about your findings
good luck

No doctors here, just nurses that follow orders. In this analogy I’m with the scientists who evolve medical science further, then doctors use it to tell the nurses what to do. So a nurse usually can’t tell a scientist that they are wrong. Not trying to be arrogant, just replying accordingly.

I’ll stop somewhere here. I’ve already said what I wanted to say.

Yes, it’s for a game, and more will follow.
I like this forum, because it has an amazing community and people are helpful to each other, often sharing their thoughts and experience. Lets be respectful and friendly as usual, guys.
if you need some assistance in being great, let us nurses know. (btw doctors don’t give orders to nurses, these are two different jobs requiring different competences)

Go to a hospital and watch. Nurses have their usual duties, but they always follow doctor’s orders respectfully (or their superiors who follow doctor’s orders) and they even do it blindly when they have doubts - for them doctor is god - lots of such incidents in the news…
