BUG: Viewport capture incorrect scale while unlocked

I noticed that when I lock the viewport, it will produce proper scale for the viewport capture. However, once I unlock the viewport, some bug happens and the scale of the captured image is noticeably smaller.

I use a 4K screen resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels) with 200% scaling in Windows 10. I also capture my images with a custom resolution for A4 paper format multiplied by 2 (I use 1920 x 1080 from the dropdown list due to the lack of a proper 3840 × 2160 option). Either the scaling by Windows 10 of from the capture pop-up window causes some interference with the screen capture function of Rhino.

Is there anybody who could replicate that bug on their Rhino 7?

Hi,
here I can reproduce it, although the difference is much smaller and it happens in R7.36 and R8.6
My screen resolution is 1920x1080 with 100% scaling

That’s quite small difference, still good enough. That particular bug is extremely annoying on my Rhino 7, because it literally forces me to lock the viewport before every capture of the viewport, then I have to unlock it again to be able to manipulate the view…

Unlocked viewport (deceptive preview by Rhino 7):

Locked viewport (the preview is correct):

Really a huge difference there on your example :astonished:

Yes, it’s about 30% smaller when the viewport is not locked…
