preview is not what you get…
Hi Ivan -
I’m not seeing that here. Are you capturing to file or to clipboard - or doesn’t that matter? What is the original size of your viewport?
-wim
it happens with both capture to file or clipboard. make a box approximately 7000mm x 5000 x 2600mm go to top view and then change parallel to perspective and try 2000x2000 pixels. i am using 2560*1440 screen.
Hi Ivan -
Thanks.
It looks like we have this on the list as RH-46806 ViewCaptuteToFile: custom resolution preview different than printed image
Staying below 1080 x 1080 seems to be required at this point.
-wim
lets see in what decade it will be attended
Not a joke. 10 years or so ago when this was first coded 1080 pixels was about as big as a view could get on screen. By 6 years ago when this YouTrack was created screens with more pixels across were becoming available. Today 4k, 5K, 6K and soon 8K screens are commonplace. Initially there might have been practical performance (for instance) reasons for restricting the way the view capture feature worked, or maybe it was just a goof that didn’t seem urgent to fix.
With today’s and future hardware to come it doesn’t make sense to let this go unfixed.
@stevebaer Did this just fall though the cracks or is it deliberately being ignored for some reason?
Does printing to an image file with the desired output settings work?
