【bug】SubD ellipsoid

Hi
I reported this problem to Applicraft(Exclusive Distributor in Japan) in 2024
They approved this is a bug and promise to report developer
I have confirmed this bug with the latest updated files(rhino_ja-jp_8.27.26019.16021)
It has not fixed yet unfortunately since Rhino7

On arbitrarily set construction plane
Sub-D ellipsoid is not modeled correctly

STEP-0 (preparation)
Universal construction plane is true

STEP-1
Set construction plane with one different from world coordinate

STEP-2
Make a ellipsoid on it
wireflame have to fit completely without gap

Thanks for reporting this. I can reproduce the issue and have opened RH-92023.

RH-92023 is fixed in Rhino 8 Service Release 29

I have confirmed that on Rhino8 SR30 8.30.26103.11001, 2026-04-13

But… I have found another one on that same construction plane

SubD Truncated Cone has not acted properly on that construction plane
Wireframe does not show correctly, slightly revolved against axis

Added to the YT list: RH-95602 SubD/MeshTruncatedCone: Does not align to custom CPlane

I’ll see if I can fix it quickly right now, or I’ll leave it to Trav to fix

RH-95602 is fixed in Rhino 8 Service Release 33 Release Candidate
