BUG - Rhino.Inside - Import3dm - Section Box Inconsistent Clipping

Hello,

I have some geometry that gets bugged out and clips/unclips portions of itself sporadically when using a Section Box inside of Revit 2024 and 2024.3, Rhino Inside with Rhino version 8.13.

If the section box cuts the geometry from more than 1 direction, it will glitch it out:

If the section box cuts the geometry from only 1 direction, it seems to be fine:

I can’t upload the model here but happy to share with the devs in private message as needed.

The ironic work around right now is importing the model as a CAD file by round tripping it through SketchUp and importing into Revit as .SKP, that seems to work fine…

The other odd thing is I have a similar roof on another building without issues.
I’ve audited the geometry itself to the best of my ability and I don’t see any odd bits or dirty objects.

Thanks for your help!

HI Michael,

that is strange, please put a link to this thread in the upload comments. Thanks

All good, I’ve got a workaround for now anyways. Thanks @Japhy, enjoy the conference

There are number of reports at Autodesk of these behaviors, i tried in 2025.3 and getting the same result. I don’t think there is going to be a way to ensure this won’t happen when creating these types of Elements.

Okay good to know! Do you happen to have a link to one so I can do some more reading on it? No worries if not! Thank you!
