Clipping planes sometimes incorrectly make text dots invisible when the text dot is part of a block.
Specifically, the clipping planes clip as though the block were located at the origin rather than at the instance insert location.

Your Nvidia driver is getting old enough to become suspect especially since your Rhino is from the middle of August. You might want to update it and see what happens. There was a new Rhino Service Release last Tuesday along with a new SRC. There should be a new Service Release Candidate early this evening Pacific Daylight Time.
