Bug? Decals changes the material color (R8 Mac)

Hi,

I have a model with a simple plastic material and if I add decals it changes color in from white to gray when I go to Raytraced mod. If I hide/deactivate the decals, same issue. The only things that restores the color is if I remove the decals completely. The effect is only visible in Raytraced.

Anyone knows what to do, is it a bug? I dont think its a decal files (they are all png) that is causing this because it also happens when they are deactivated.

Please run the Rhino command _SystemInfo and post the result in a reply. And if possible also share the surface to which you apply the decal, along with the decal. You should be able to select the surface and then export that to a new 3dm file.

Ok!

This issue is fixed in Rhino 8.8 service release candidate. If you prefer staying on the service release then change rhino custom material type to physically based, that already works in Rhino 8.7. The related bug report is RH-79660 Rendering Cycles: Decal with alpha channel on custom material shows incorrect base color
