If I try to export multiple layout pages (either all pages or selected pages) to PDF, Rhino crashes.
Hi John -
I’m not seeing that here.
Could you provide more information? SystemInfo, required steps to reproduce the crash, 3dm file?
Are you sending in the Rhino crash reports?
-wim
I had seen this before but I had largely stopped doing files file more than one layout.
I I do
File>EXPORT [PDF}
And do either one of these, I get a Rhino Crash
Hi John -
So, that means that when you do the same with the file that I’m attaching here, your Rhino crashes?
BUG - Crash Exporting Multiple Pages to PDF.3dm (1.2 MB)
-wim
Yours does not crash my system. So there must be some added factor in the file. I am uploading one of mine right now that does crash. Every one of mine crashes so I have split most of my multi-page files into single pages. I still have a few left.
Hi John -
… or the system. This works fine on my Mac:
As requested before, please post your SystemInfo
data.

Thanks, John.
I hear from eMail support that they are looking into this issue with a machine that is similar to yours.

It’s still a mystery why it happens to me and no one else. I guess it’s like that dark cloud that always follows me around when I walk around the neighborhood.
FWIW I am on 12.6 (not 12.6.1) on my M1 (not M1 Max. Also my machine is an MacBookPro17,1). I was also able to export multiple layouts.
Do you have many documents open when you try exporting this document to PDF?
Update:
We were able to work with @miano to find a workaround.
He is running Rhino 7 sr24 on M1 with Monterey 12.6.1.
The workaround was to use a command: TestPDFExport.
This is an under development command and is popular because it exports layouts that are different sheet sizes. But if you are having having trouble with ExportAll to PDF, give it a try.
Also Print → to PDF also worked for @miano.
We also discovered some other interesting
@nathanletwory has a M1 with Monterey 12.6 and did not have any issue with this commands.
@kyle has a M1 with Ventura, not only locked up with ExportAll -PDF, but he could not use TestPDFExport either. It also locked up too.
In Kyle’s case, the only work around is Print → PDF.
We have logged RH-71740 (private) for the Monterey issue and RH-71741 (private) for the Ventura issue.
We will let you know when we see a fix.
Let us know if you have experiencing the same issue.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Fugier
No, I only do this when I am trying to make it crash now! So I only will have one file open.
