Hey is there a way to create a box selection when the mouse starts overtop of an existing object?
For example, imagine the viewport was inside a house, and I want to box select a chair, table, and rug inside that house. But if I try to box select, the house in the background will be immediately dragged. If I turn on the option “drag only selected”, then when I start the box select, the house is selected immediately and the box select doesn’t happen.
The only way I know of right now to get a successful box select is to start by clicking with nothing behind the mouse first, then drag my selection out.
Is there a setting to enable/disable that would allow the mouse to ignore whatever is behind it on mouse press so that I can create a box select, then it will complete the select action once the mouse button is released?
Thanks!
