Bounding box quick transform by dragging edges of furniture parts

Hi, I would like to ask if it is possible to make function, tool or script for changing size of object simply by select object and drag handlers positioned at edges. This functionality is best known from graphic editors like illustrator but I am missing in 3D editing. I know that there are tools for change size like edit using cage, box edit, gumball, 1D scale, but these functions don’t work this way. I always make furniture parts (simple boxes) and every time when I need to change size I am using 1D scale which is the most similar to quick free transform, but 1D scale needs selection reference points which is time consuming to do for many parts with different sizes and positions.

Hi -

You can sub-object select edges or faces and use the Gumball to move those:

I took Jenda’s illustration to represent the bounding box of some arbitrarily shaped 3D object which would be scaled by moving the bounding box’s edges. I don’t think Rhino has anything like that right now, does it?

Of course, and that would be using the bounding box as the cage?

Thank you for solution. It is possible resize multiple parts close to each other by one drag.
