Blend surface artefacts


I was following along this tutorial on curvature continuity and noticed that there were artifects in the blend surface, which persisted even upon rebuilding the blend surface with a higher degree.
By rebuilding the original planar surfaces to a higher degree prior to applying the blend surface, the artefacts disappeared. What is the cause of these?


Hello - that is the render mesh, I would say - usually this can be cleaned up by adjusting the render mesh settings. Here though, I do not see that in a similar setup.


Ah right, so the geometry is fine then. When I adjusted the zebra mesh settings, the artefects went away as well. I hadn’t thought about the mesh display.

E: Found the mesh settings in the options, changing the density did the trick.
